Rameumptom Ruminations: 100: My Final Prayer

Two weeks ago when we discussed President Oaks May 2023 worldwide youth devotional, a few people commented on a remark Scott made while recording. A line in the devotional bothered Scott and he didn’t spend the time to go over why. In today’s episode, Scott goes back to that discussion and reads some of your comments. The quote in question comes from the talk Wholehearted by sister Michelle D. Craig, second counselor in the Young Women’s General Presidency.

  1. Good stuff, Scott. Thank you for your thoughtful responses and for sincerely considering my comment. You made some really good points.

I tend to go back and forth on a lot of this stuff. Seems like I’m often tempted to play devil’s advocate, regardless of whether a position comes from the faithful or critical side.

  2. This is just so moving. Thanks for
Jordan’s experience , and your own real-life experience. The church’s dogmas and simplistic formula just cannot meet the needs of truly suffering humans. The sooner people look elsewhere for help, the better. The way this podcast wakes people up to that fact is saving lives.
